Biography
Magdalene Adhiambo Ngala-Dimba is the Dean School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Strathmore University, Kenya.
She holds a PhD in Educational Administration and Planning from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, a Master’s in Economics of Education and a Bachelor of Education in Economics and Geography from Moi University, Kenya. Dr. Magdalene is an experienced educationist, administrator and researcher.
She has a wide teaching experience at university level with particular interest in teacher education. She was a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at Catholic University of Eastern Africa for several years before joining Strathmore University. She has experience in teaching Geography and Business Studies at Secondary school level as well.
She has presented conference papers and published articles in national and international journals in administration, planning and leadership. She has also presented papers in national and international conferences. Having held a high-intensity, people-oriented job as Head of Academic Programmes and a Dean of Students, she has good skills in mentoring and handling students issues.
Her research interests include: Teacher education, access and equity, planning and quality in education. She has also been a Member of The Universities Fund Board.
