Caroline Shisubili Maingi
Doctoral Fellow

Caroline Shisubili Maingi currently teaches Philosophy and Ethics at the Strathmore University.  She is also pursuing her Doctoral Studies in International Relations at the United States International University –Africa (USIU -A).  She holds a Masters of Applied Philosophy and Ethics (MAPE) at Strathmore University, and did a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences degree majoring in Political Science.  Caroline is passionate about understanding the ontological foundations of social issues and has major interests on how politics shapes society and the impact it has on the Family and Children. She loves teaching as she finds it her way of transforming culture into something good.

Caroline developed an interest in philosophy and languages while working for the World Youth Alliance (WYA). In 2003, she founded the WYA-Africa Region.  She is a recipient of the WYA’s Kathryn Hoomkwap Award which recognizes distinguished service in defense of the dignity of the human person among WYA members.   As such, she has worked on policy matters in Kenya and the UN and continues to assist WYA – Africa as a Board member and Advisor.

Caroline is well travelled.  She is fluent in English and Swahili and has basic knowledge of French and Spanish.  Aside from academics, Caroline engages in book clubs, facilitates family enrichment courses and plans and coordinates events.
